Brief – Ensuring trust in the healthcare system
This brief was presented to the Committee on Health and Social Services as part of the review of Bill 52, the Act to strengthen the complaint examination process of the health and social services network, in particular for users receiving services from private institutions.
In the brief, Réseau FADOQ recommended introducing criminal penalties to reinforce the Act to combat maltreatment of seniors and other persons of full age in vulnerable situations. The effectiveness of the act has been called into question, in part because of the absence of penalties for violators.
