In April 2024, FADOQ welcomed Jacinthe Roy as its new Executive Director. She succeeded Danis Prud’homme, who held the position for 15 years.
Her vision for FADOQ is anchored on a major pillar: adding value to the FADOQ card to better serve members and turn them into proud ambassadors of the organization.

In August, the Canada 55+ Games were held for the first time in Quebec, specifically in the beautiful city of Québec. Athletes participating in the Games once again demonstrated that there is no age limit to push boundaries and have fun.

Active Your Way
FADOQ was a proud partner of the “Active Your Way” campaign, which aimed to encourage seniors to stay active daily to make the most of life.
This initiative, led by Capsana with support from the Ministry of Health and Social Services, was designed to counteract a concerning trend: as adults age, their physical activity levels tend to decrease.
FADOQ at the UN
The UN Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing, of which FADOQ is a member, achieved a historic milestone regarding the rights of older adults.
In May, this group, present in New York, unanimously adopted a decision to be submitted to the President of the United Nations General Assembly. FADOQ is proud to have contributed to this process and will remain actively involved as further developments unfold.
