This brief was presented to the Committee on Citizen Relations during the study of Bill 18, the Act to amend the Civil Code, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Public Curator Act and various provisions as regards the protection of persons.<0}
In the brief, Réseau FADOQ indicated that the bill would simplify matters for protection regime administrators and make the public less reluctant to take on the responsibility of caring for a family member. The legislative amendments deal with the independence of incapacitated individuals and put them at the centre of the decision-making process.
