Seniors’ issues were prominent in this election campaign. The 125 newly elected MNAs must quickly get to work to improve the quality of life of those who built modern Quebec.
Voters have renewed their confidence in the Coalition avenir Québec government. As the largest Québec organization of people 50 and over, Réseau FADOQ congratulated Premier François Legault and reminded him of the commitments his party has made to seniors.
Among those that attracted particular attention:
“Réseau FADOQ will follow up with the Quebec government on these commitments. Population aging is accelerating and we must act now, not only for today’s seniors, but also, for those of tomorrow,” says Gisèle Tassé -Goodman, president of Réseau FADOQ.
Before the election campaign was launched, Réseau FADOQ informed all of the main parties in the running of our priorities with our platform of demands, covering home care, experienced workers and financial support for seniors.
“Rampant inflation, the transformation of the health care system and the labour shortage require concrete and rapid action in the first months of this new term,” said Ms. Tassé-Goodman.
In closing, Réseau FADOQ congratulates all those who ran in this election and thanks everyone who worked in a polling station to make this democratic exercise possible.
