The brief was prepared for pre-budget consultations held in the lead-up to the 2020 federal budget.
In the brief, Réseau FADOQ outlined the priority measures determined by its members and drew the federal government’s attention to certain aspects that should be taken into account in drawing up the budget.
Réseau FADOQ’s demands included a $50 increase in the Guaranteed Income Supplement for seniors. The network also called for a 10% increase in Old Age Security benefits for all those eligible. Another key demand was the indexation of the Canada Health Transfer at 6% per year.
