Selon un rapport récent de l’Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), près de trois Québécois s’enlèvent la vie chaque jour. Depuis 2015, les hommes de 50 à 64 ans présentent le taux de suicide le plus élevé de la province. Pour les femmes, le taux de suicide atteint aussi son maximum entre 50 et 64 ans.
