Every year, autumn brings with it respiratory viruses. As many people struggle with significant complications related to COVID-19 and the flu, the importance of protecting oneself against these viruses is undeniable.
Vaccination remains the best way to prevent the risk associated with these viruses.
It is also important to take the right actions, such as practicing good hand hygiene regularly, to prevent respiratory infections.
The main targets of the seasonal vaccination campaign are people aged 60 and over, as well as individuals of any age who are immunocompromised or have chronic illnesses.
As part of this campaign, vaccination is provided directly in long-term care centers and private seniors’ residences, in addition to being available at local service points and most community pharmacies.
At the time of vaccination, talk to the on-site healthcare professional, as other vaccines might be available to you.
